Día del Niño Celebration
Join us for our annual Día del Niño (Children's Day) festivities, a global celebration of children, with a wide variety of live music, dance performances, artmaking, and free general admission for everyone.
April 28 is a Free Day at the DAM, so general admission will be free for all visitors. Reserve a ticket in advance.
Activities for the day include:
- Experience the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere in Michoacán, Mexico, through virtual reality visors provided by the Mexican Consulate General in Denver and the Butterfly Pavilion at the Creative Hub in the Martin Building.
- The Denver Preschool Program (DPP) will bring in celebrity guest readers at 11 am at Sturm Pavilion to read Señorita Mariposa by Ben Gundersheimer. A complimentary book will be given to each child who attends the book reading while supplies last.
- In the Dream Studio on level 1 of the Hamilton Building, visitors will be able to join live art demonstrations by artist Arturo García from 12 to 3 pm.
- On the second level of the Hamilton Building, artist Chris Bagley will meet and greet visitors from 1 to 3 pm.
- On April 28, enjoy 10% off all children's items in the Shop at the DAM in celebration of Día del Niño.

Food for all Día del Niño performers is provided by Spicy Mexican Food.
