No matter the year, it’s not strange to find some stores open on Easter Sunday. Knowing that shoppers need to pick up groceries or want to take advantage of Easter sales, some retailers keep their doors open. Over the past couple of years, we have seen saw a pretty equal mix of retailers staying open for the holiday and remaining closed.

Which stores are open on Easter 2024?

We’ll be updating our list as more retailers announce their Easter Sunday plans. Note that hours and open/closed status may vary locally, so be sure to check ahead of time.

Is Academy Sports + Outdoors open on Easter?

Yes. Academy Sports + Outdoors stores will be open on Easter Sunday, but doors open at a later hour – 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Is Best Buy open on Easter?

Best Buy stays closed on Easter every year. That includes curbside pickup.

Is Big Lots open on Easter?

Big Lots has confirmed it will be open on Easter Sunday. Check your local store to confirm hours, as they may be reduced for the holiday.

Is Costco open on Easter?

No. Costco is always closed on Easter, and this year is no different. Check out the warehouse retailer’s entire list of holiday closures.

Is CVS open on Easter?

Yes. Expect 24-hour locations to remain open (other locations’ hours will vary). Note that pharmacy hours will vary from regular store hours, so be sure to check ahead of time. The CVS pharmacy generally closes early on Sundays, regardless.

Is Dick’s Sporting Goods open on Easter?

Dick’s Sporting Goods stores will be closed on Easter Sunday.

Is IKEA open on Easter?

IKEA stores and the IKEA restaurant are open on Easter Sunday. Most locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. but open hours may vary by location.

No. Kohl’s has a tradition of remaining closed on Easter. Curbside pickup will be closed, too, so be sure to order what you need for Easter by Saturday or earlier.

Is Home Depot open on Easter?

Yes. Home Depot stores will be open on Easter, starting at 10 a.m. and closing at 6 p.m.

No. Macy’s stores will be closed on Easter Sunday.

Is Sam’s Club open on Easter?

Is Starbucks open on Easter?

Yes, some Starbucks locations will be open on Easter Sunday, but expect limited hours that vary by location. Many locations will be closed, however, and that includes Starbucks cafes located inside Target stores (which will be closed). In addition, some locations may only be open for drive-through orders.

Is Walgreens open on Easter?

Walmart is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. at most locations. It might reduce hours for Easter Sunday.
